Bride and Groom "After" Session

Finally! Some beach shots! I went down to Fairhope, AL last weekend (seven hour drive) and took some amazing shots of Matt and Rachel Ellis. The place was gorgeous, the couple was gorgeous, and I think the shots are pretty amazing too. It was freezing cold (after nearly every shot Rachel was putting on a jacket!) but they were good sports. I nearly lost my husband Jason to the waves when the wind was using our relector like a ship's sail. Whew! We had sch a blast, thanks Rachel and Matt for such a fun time!

Trash the Dress

It's here! Here's a little bit of the trash the dress I did yesterday with Kym. We had so much fun, that we even talked about a part 2 using paint and her husband. Stay tuned for that because I think it'll be a blast. We went over to the Percy Priest Dam area, and also to the Mariner's dock. Trash the Dress

So, the next two weekends I have a family shoot and a trash the dress shoot. I'm so excited! For those of you who aren't familiar with the term, trash the trash is a contemporary and fashionable way to get the most out of the wedding dress that will likely just have taken up room in your closet. We go on a fun photoshoot, starting with some glam pictures, but the coolest part is that you don't have to worry about messing up the wedding dress! If the absolute best shot is in the middle of a puddle, SO BE IT. After the glamour, we get messy, whether in paint, mud, water, or even fire (though I don't mess with that stuff). I have wanted to do one for years and am SO excited about it. I'll be posting pictures in about two weeks for that. In the meantime, let me know if you have any cool ideas. I'm up for anything. And did I mention how excited I am?!

On an entirely different note, Jason and I are offering Christmas cards this year! They will be customized for every family, and digital prints and a photoshoot are all included. Let your friends know, and if you can get three of your friends to do it, your session is free, just for following my blog. Good luck! First Engagement Shoot with new equipment!

Boy was this a fun day! Carrie and Anthony are getting married next May and wanted Fall engagement photos. They were like models and it was seriously a breeze. Speaking of breeze brrr was it cold! It was 34 degrees when we started shooting but they sucked it up and were truly awesome. I met Carrie when she was a bridesmaid in another wedding I shot with Jason, and she was so photogenic I was stoked when she called me up! Thanks Carrie and Anthony for being such good sports with the cold weather and slew of photographers (thanks to JC for documenting the whole thing :-) !

Senior Shoot

Whitney is a super cool friend of Jason's (and mine now, too, I'm claiming her!) and we spent the evening shooting some gorgeous model/senior shots! Percy Priest Dam is absolutely beautiful, right next to both water and plenty of Fall scenery. Her boyfriend was super sweet and came along just to help out! Thanks Whitney for being so much fun!!

Meet Emily!

This adorable sixteen-month old is named Emily, and I was privileged to get to take her photos for Halloween! She dressed up as Tinkerbell and looked absolutely adorable, props to mommy! She is a dream to photograph with her easy smile, although she loves to play, and thinks it's funny to pose perfectly until the moment I snap the picture! I had to work fast! Fortunately Jason, my lighting-guru husband was there to distract her and it worked out quite nicely. Enjoy!

Brand Spankin New!

Hi!! Welcome to our new blog, and thanks for checking out our new and improved website as well. Jason and I are crazy excited to relaunch A Moment's Worth (http://www.amomentsworthphotography.com/) and we've made a lot of changes to really improve your experiance! We are so excited to kick things off! We've added equipment (AWESOME! I've been in heaven!), services(going back to my roots to offer kids portraits as well), products (customized Wedding Invites? Why not?), and of course a blog. Jason is a graphic designer, so he not only made my old logo but my current one as well, and I think it's just a little bit cooler (check out his site at http://www.jlsgraphics.net/). Now you'll have to bear with me, because in the past the blogiest I've ever gotten is an occasional note on Facebook and status updates. Talk about not being in the cool club!
